Pretty sure it went like this:

Trump cleared of abuse of power and obstruction of justice

Trump cleared of abuse of power and obstruction of justice

The Senate has voted in favor of acquitting President Trump in the impeachment trial.
All Democrats and one Republican - Mitt Romney - voted against the president on his charges of abuse of power but senators on both sides voted along party lines for his charge of obstruction of justice.
The president's campaign manager said: "President Trump has been totally vindicated and it's now time to get back to the business of the American people".

So yeah, a Witch Hunt.

That's all well and good but asking for proof 100% of the time is not polite. That is like calling someone a liar everytime they post. It's ok to go look up the information after someone makes a post for one's self if they think it is not accurate. Like hey Bob, I read your post and did some research myself, did you see so and so post? It is in contradiction to what you posted. Here is a link. Oh my, thanks Bob, I was unaware that a change had occurred. I will update my post so the information is correct. Ya follow?

That attitude doesn't exist on this board or in US society in general. And tbh facts are pretty useless in a debate since everybody ignores them anyway.

He was impeached for lying about it and trying to say he didn't think he did anything ****** because he was on the receiving end.
Actually he used the "is doesn't mean is" defense. Nevertheless my point is we went after everybody who paid off some side action or denied an affair, etc, then our jails would be overflowing. The only reason it's been done now and was done then is pure politics.

And no one complained about it. Trump gets impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and it’s a “Democrat witch hunt”.

Go figure.

Lots of people complained - I was one of them. The most they can (probably) prove against Trump is he illegally avoided taxes on his pay-off. I'm more concerned about the fact that he doesn't seem to pay taxes at all than if he slipped one by the IRS when he paid off Stormy.

It is kind of frustrating that he pays 1/15 the income tax I do.
Not thrilled about the campaign violations either. Kind of weird to break the law in a campaign to be the leader of a country.

It’s like running for Sheriff and stealing the signs of the other candidates.

I'm all for going after campaign finance violations...let's put all politicians and candidates on trial...I pretty much guarantee we'd be way closer to 100% violation rate than even 50% 🤣
