NOBODY knows how the vaccine will or will not work for them until they get vaccinated. Literally all one can do is HOPE it will work for them the way the pushers say. Hey, if it works for you, that's great.

Well..... I thought it was because winter temps typical to northern areas don't often hit Texas they way they did. Would you have salt trucks salting roads in an area that never sees icy weather? Of course not... they weren't prepared for something that doesn't happen there.

I’ve never gotten stuck for extended periods in the winter in my vehicle. I’m still prepared for it.
We don’t get days or weeks on end of 100+ degree heat. Prepared for it.
The worst power outage we’ve had was 3 days. The usual is at most a few hours. Prepared for it.

Even unprepared, NO one should die indoors in above-freezing temps. Sadly, they did.

I was 44. I started when I was 12. I quit cold turkey, no crutches, no excuses. I have been smoke free for over 4 years.

Come on man... how much does it cost you to prepare? How much does it cost an entire city to prepare? Is it cost effective for an entire city or cities to prepare for non typical events?

A thirty dollar sleeping bag for the off-chance of cold and power loss? Bottling up some emergency water if the power goes out?
Having enough non-perishable food to lady a few days for an emergency?
We are talking about individuals being prepared, not asking the city to prepare all individuals.

Well... generally speaking, people are lazy procrastinators. I see your point though. Yes, I was talking about how the "city" would prepare. I am typically prepared for hot or cold and or power losses.

I started smoking to be cool and fit in. As I grew older I discovered I don't need to be cool or fit in. Being accepted by other people isn't something I need. I made the choice to not get vaccinated. I had COVID pretty bad the first time and lived. I made the choice to stay unvaccinated and rely on my natural immunity and I am validated in my choice as the second time I got the Rona, I barely knew I had it.

This vaccine has not "only been proved to do good for the body". People have died from the vaccine. People have still caught the rona and died. People have still infected other people. You can't stop death and knowing this I will do things my way until death comes my way. It is what it is now. I will not give people shit for being vaccinated though. You have to do what you feel is right.

You guys make it sound like a driver just pops off the road and there's someplace to shutdown...without factoring in places that could have chargers installed...there isn't enough places for drivers to shutdown as is...and not all those places now are gonna be feasible for charging stations...if it was that easy to fix just having places to shutdown at, then the govt should've fixed that a decade ago...

The gov't isn't in charge of truck stops and the gov't isn't going to build out the charging infrastructure.
