Windshield price?

Just had a new windshield put in my truck (99 ram) and the total price was $215 and they just came and put it in when I was at work.
Don't know if the price for a ram helps you but may give you a ballpark figure

just wait until someone hits you and blame the crack on the accident... then have the insurance company pay for it... that's what i did at least...

My Eclispe windshield has broken a couple times and the first time it was 350 because I have the rain sensor shit, where it rains and the wipers come on automatically. Well is extra for them to hook that shit back up, which is ghey, but whatever. Then the 2nd time, I just paid extra to get the lifetime warranty through a local company and will be free from now on, but I am selling the car soon, lol!

I wonder if other people who have 2002 and up eclispes have that same problem. Cause I see a lot of them around here with cracked windshields. Something about the way the front was designed lets every little thing come up and hit the window. Hell was into a week of owning it and a dam rock chiped the shit out of it to eventually cracking it.

Some states have to pay for the new glass ... in the rest of the US, we have to pay for our own windshields

I have also never paid more than 150 or so to take it somewhere...I paid 175 once when the mobile glass guys came to my job, but It was well worth spending the extra 25 bucks to be able to drive home from work that night...

It all depends i guess...

Now it costs me nothing, my Comp Covers all the glass...

Yea its free in Florida no matter what insurance company you have. It doesnt go against your insurance either like if your windshield breaks and they pay for it your premiums dont go up.
