I'm running XP on my machine and it runs Office 2000 Pro just fine. No problems. Should work for you.

Ditto; runs like a champ; but be sure to get all of the critical updates from Microsoft anyway.

Win XP home edition and Office 2000 pro on a AMD Athlon 900.

They do not.

System performance dropped 80% at least after that SOB was installed.

Needless to say, it got un-installed very fast.

Microsoft still hasn't caught on.
