Has anyone here used it yet? I'm dual booting Windows 8 and 7 right now, trying to get used to the new UI. It feels like a shame using a laptop on it, since it's so touch friendly, but oh well.

If you don't have a touch screen it's pretty useless, just stick with 7

I dig it. Also you can get a Logitech T650, It's like having touch screen capabilities without touch the screen.

This OS made my job a lot more difficult. I hook up internet for people at work and these laptops with win 8 are popping up everywhere and the unwashed masses buying them have no idea how to use them. I tell them just to stay in the desktop screen. I have no reason to use it at home so I probably won't be getting it any time soon.

Windows 8 would work great on a HTPC, but for your daily computer (ie laptop/desktop) it's a waste. Have a friend of mine who's using it and having the worst time with compatibility of his video card...on a brand new laptop...because of driver issues.

Stick with 7

I still have windows xp on one computer and on my other laptop, I have windows 7 with windows virtual machine with windows xp.
