Jesus. Why dont you be useful and give me a hand?
I know how to make ISO disks. The issue I am having is with the windows 7 zip file that I downloaded from MSDN. I can uppack the zip and it comes with a setup.exe file. Tried it and the installation fails.

So I was going to try and burn it to a disk and boot from that. It wont read the disk. Does anyone know if its possible with whats givin to me? I burned the zip as an image but no luck.

You can't boot from a zip file...

Unpack the .zip into a folder, and label the folder something catchy, possibly Win7...

Burn the folder to a disk as data file or a .iso if Nero has that option (I'm sure it does but it's been a while).

Is Win 7 as fast as XP? I've never liked Vista cause it always ran way slower than XP regardless of how powerful the machine was. Must be cause of all the visuals I'd assume. Hows the performance on 7 comared to XP?

no shlt? I always assumed it was similar to Vista, never really did any research on it. I gotta try it out sometime. Does it have alot of driver compatibility issues like Vista does? Don't know why they couldn't stick with the "Are you sure you want to install this non certified driver?". It complicates the hell out of everything having to tweak and hunt down compatible drivers for everything.

its hella fast and drivers depend on bit version ie... x32 or x64 i have 64bit so some stuff works and some doesnt, but with professional you get the xp compatibilty so anything works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and with a single core machine that has 1/2 the specs of a vista machine on a dual core cpu it destroys the vista setup by at least 4 x's.

I started running the beta in February and got my RTM copy through technet on August 6th. I'm a fan of the Windows 7.
