Vista works fine for me. Windows 7 is just a service pack for Vista.

i honestly like vista and havent had one issue in 2 years. im also not a gamer or anything like that. just use my computer for basic stuff.

Win7 beats the piss out of Vista. And in terms of overall speed, faster than XP was for me. Default generic drivers made updating to good drivers much easier than waiting through install disc after install disc. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Very light on resources as well.

not sure of many official retail screenshots...but there are plenty of the beta and rc builds.

Here is one from Amazons website, I will be picking this up on the 22nd. I have the rc build and I love it, beats the shit outta vista!

I run 7 with 1gb of ram, as posted above.. and my computer does GREAT.. and it's by NO means fast.

Only reason my rating is @ 4.5.. is because of my lack of ram. If I were to have 2-4 gigs.. my score would be closer to 6..

I know some retail shops are giving computers with vista & telling people they'll get the windows 7 upgrade for teh cheap.
