will this work?

Ok I just got 2 RE SE10s and I'm about to order a power acoustik bamf 5500D mono amp. The problem is that I'm putting this in a body dropped ext cab 87 s10 and I'm 6'2" so I have to keep leg room. The way the seat is now its comfortable. So the room I have is 44" wide and 11" deep from seat edge to back wall. So as for the box I'm trying to get good deep bass out of it so I found a box calculator on the12volt.com and come up with these specs for a dual chambered box:

44" wide

20" tall

12" deep (leaning the seat forward a drop)

3/4" mdf

2 ports:

1.5" wide

10.5" tall

14.75" long

And I came up with that giving about 4.5 cu. ft. total so 2.25 for each sub then about 2 after displacement for the port and sub. And it said this would give me between 33 to 34 hz.

Ok for the actual questions:

1. Do those specs seem accurate?

2. Will this give me the low hard hitting bass I'm looking for?

3. Will this work ok with these subs and amp?

Sorry for all the questions and info but I just want to make sure I build this right so it sounds good and don't blow anything. Thanks for any help.

I'd go with a smaller volume overall. Use a single chamber for both subs and a single, larger port as well. You can cut down on height if you'd like to fire everything forward. Or you can shrink the width so you have some room to fire the port to the side.

Well since everything is so packed back there I was going to have the subs and the port firing up or is that going to sound bad? Also everybody I find running REs has very large boxes and say they do better in larger boxes. Is this wrong? If so, how many cu. ft. Should I go for? And is there any advantage to 1 port/ 1 chamber vs. 2 port 2 chamber? Again sorry for all the ?s just want to do this right the 1st time

It does 1700 rms @ 4ohm 2500 rms @ 2ohm and 3200 rms @ 1 ohm and I am going to run mine at 1 ohm but keep the gain down to where I want it. And the subs are rated at 600 rms but RE subs are under-rated and can handle more. Once they are broke in good ill give em as much power as they need and can handle without distorting or messing up

The amp is overrated. It does 1600@1 ...if you're lucky.

They just don't need that much room, and will not require anywhere near 600 watts each if they're in 2ft^3 boxes. With a bigger box comes lower mechanical power handling. Do a single 2.5-3ft^3 box, tuned to 32hz. You can still fire everything up if you want.

it has 5 x40 amp fuses and an efficiency of 60-65%...

do the math ... they are very very very over rated amps.

5x 40 = 200a..* 12.8v = 2560 watts * 65% efficiency = 1664 true watts at best...

we have benched them many many times...

Ok well I guess I get to redesign my interior now haha I thought I was going to be running a bigger box. And as far as the amp goes if that's the case then I have been lied to by many people. What would be a good amp for around the same price then I want atleast 2k rms justto make sure I have enough if I ever want to really crank it up for a second
