Will This Work?

I have a XA5000. Sub channel does an under rated 300@4 and 420@2. The XA2000 was under rated by 90 watts RMS bridged for the 2 channel versions. Realistically probably somewhere near 350@4 and 475-500@2.

The sub channel is only 2 ohm stable.

I may pick up a sub thats a DVC3 ohm which gives me a 1.5 or a 6 ohm final load. Electrical on my car is totally stock. Its not worth dumping money into since its still under warranty. I have a stock 105a alternator and Mopar OEM battery. Wiring is 4 gauge Stinger Custom Pro to the amp with KnuKoncepts mini ANL fuse holder and 80a fuse.

Ill be using 12awg OFC Rockford Fosgate speaker wire to wire it up which should be more than plenty for a 500wrms application.

Do you think Ill have enough imp rise to safely run at 2 ohms at the amp?

A sophisticated amp like that should have plenty of protection in case something does go wrong. I say try it at low volume levels and see if you notice the amp getting too hot, then work your way up using more power and being careful along the way.

I figure with a 105a alternator and pulling no more than 500wrms tops I should be at a constant 14.4v at all times.
