im getting lights dimming on hard bass notes ... i have a sundown saz1500d-- 2 12" FI Q --- yellow top up front ,105 amp alt , did the big 3 in 1/0 ...checked my amp ground from battery to where im grounded i get 0.7 ohms which i think is pretty good ..my alt was tested and working fine and the yellow top is brand new ... i have very little space to add another battery would a Kinetik 600 be good or a kinetik 800 ...i would perfer the 600 just not sure ?

I had a friend with almost that exact same setup. I am very suprised that you have any dimming at all he had none. the bat would help for sure but you may want to work on that ground... I am not sure but that seems kind of hight to me but i dont know of the top of my head.

That ground is actually not that good. Almost a full ohm of resistance without any load is pretty high. As soon as you push a load over that connection, it will raise in resistance. You would need to measure that resistance under the full load to see what your true resistance is.

As for what to put in the back, you should go for the HC1400 in the back. The HC600 and HC800 are too small for your application. If you cannot fit the HC1400, you will have to go with more than one HC600. Two would probably do just fine, but it will cost more than one HC1400.

i was thinking of running a 1/0 ground from the amp to the battery than i dont have to worry about a bad ground ... and sticking a hc800 in my storage compartment in the hatch which would fit perfect ...i really dont have the room for a hc1400 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The dedicated ground will for sure be much better. As for the battery, just expect that battery to not last as long as it might have under the proper sized load. If you over-discharge a battery, it will severely shorten the lifespan. Not to mention, it could shorten the life of your amps as well.
