Yes, it will work for sure. Windows Vista is already designed to automatically know that it is an external hard drive. Btw, that seems like a pretty good deal.

I think that Western Digital is good, so is seagate. Just because it's seagate, doesn't mean that it is bad. Seagate is one the best hd makers and so is western digital.

I'm a fan of the freeagent. I have one now and it's the only external hd I'd get when I'm too lazy to assemble my own.

They have a 250g one on newegg for $5 cheaper. And a 320g for $10 more.

Im getting this for my brother as a grad gift and loading it full with music and movies so hes ready for college.
