Will this port mess with tuning a lot?

Ditto to what SicAudio said.. shouldnt effect anything.. just hopefully you can figure out what its truly tuned to.. whats the box size, tuning preference, etc?

 
yes it would where L2 is the port does not have as much area as the L1
this was my concern...

kind of just threw this together for a drawing, so no defined volumes yet or lengths. Its not too much of a difference...so i might go with it still

 
I would section it off and create a dual port. One on the top and one on the bottom separated by a horizontal MDF piece. Once you get to the turn, match the port according to its area. That will solve the problem.

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
