will this amp work??

The amp should be alright. But they can take much more than 300wrms each.

If you cant afford a new amp. Then go with the SVC4 subs and wire them for a 2 ohm load

I would buy the dvc4 sub and get a 1ohm stable amp. Then wire the speakers this way

The subs should be good for around 600-900wrms of clean power each.

your info is very much appreciated. i'll do some thinking on the amp situation...if i do switch amps, i'll do like you said, get the dvc4 subs and drop it down to 1 ohm.

can you recommend a good amp, stable at 1ohm, and won't break the bank??
