will this amp work??

I have a Phoenix Gold R8.0:01, 800watts X 1 max, 600watts X 1 rms @ 2 ohms...

will this amp be compatible and make 2 DD 1508's sound good??

i don't have a clue...i know that the amp is good for both 4 ohm and 2 ohm. i'm just wondering about the subs (DD 1508's)

i could get either, i just don't know which i'm supposed to get for the amp i have...but you think the amp won't power the subs??

The amp should be alright. But they can take much more than 300wrms each.

If you cant afford a new amp. Then go with the SVC4 subs and wire them for a 2 ohm load

I would buy the dvc4 sub and get a 1ohm stable amp. Then wire the speakers this way

The subs should be good for around 600-900wrms of clean power each.

your info is very much appreciated. i'll do some thinking on the amp situation...if i do switch amps, i'll do like you said, get the dvc4 subs and drop it down to 1 ohm.

can you recommend a good amp, stable at 1ohm, and won't break the bank??

Audiopipe AP1500D they do rated power, and will push those DD1508s nice!! Get DVC4s so you can get a 1ohm load out of the amp!

you would be fine with 2 SVC 1508's

they really like more power than that though
