Will my RE SE12 bottom out?

About to start building my enclosure for my RE SE12. I'll be using a JL 500/1v2, 500W RMS. RE reccomends a 1.0Ft3 for sealed enclosure. I've been playing around with AJ Sealed Designer and WinISD and it looks like I'll be more happy with a 1.5Ft3 enclosure, qtc of .73. My question is, will the sub bottom out on the low Fz with a box that large? Do I need to make the box a little smaller, say 1.3?

I'm all about low Fz extension and SQ.

1.5 some polyfill(give or take) you will be good, sub handles more than rms..im all about low frequency extension myself

I got my SE12 in today, it's a pretty nice sub, I was supprised. It's purty, it almost makes me want to invert it.

I just graphed it, it's pretty **** flat. Wonder what it'd sound like?

How many watts you plan on putting to each?

I had a se12 which i was powering with a jl audio500/1

I burnt out the tinsel leeds by clipping it.

if you're going to pound it make sure that you dont clip it, the rms is 600watts.

it does sound really nice

you can port or seal

when i had mine i called re audio to find the best way to go for me & i was told that the se will best ported but it will work very well seal .

if you go ported it will be easier on your vs seal makes your amp work harder.

I'm putting 800rms to my 15 in a 3 cube sealed box and it does just fine
