Question, Will my current amp work for a upgrade in drivers.
Car is a 2000 vw golf , electrial upgrades would include a yellow top upfront and 4 guage stinger amp kit to my sub amp. Alt is still stock and still need to do the big 3 but soon,
Amp is a Alpine MRP-M1000 Is currently powering a type R 15 but i want to change it to a 13w7
Would this set up in sealed box be enough to power the sub ? will trade up in amps if i have to but with such a small car the cabin gain should be pretty good right?
If this amp puts out 1000@ 2 and 600 @ 4 ohm does that mean a driver drawing a 3 ohm load would pull around 800? i have no idea about that just asking and if so would that 800 be enough to push the w7 to what it should do sealed? I have heard them sealed in good set ups and think they sound a lot nicer than my type r.
