Will it push a 15 XXX....

I've decided to get a 15" XXX. I'm looking at an SPL Z1X-3000D to run it since it puts out 2300x1 rms at 1 ohm and 3000 max however, is this amp decent. Its made by Power Acoustik if that says anything. Will it be sufficient enough to push the XXX 15"? Or are there any other recomendations for an amp or any opinions for me to stay away from this SPL amp or Power Acoustik in general? I'm looking to spend around 400 or so at the max, any help is appreciated.

Sorry if this was a repost I'm having problems with the vbulletin software. Mahalo

2300 is way to much for a xxx to handle daily. the xxx has a 1600rms rating for daily and it can take 2500 watts for burps. the power rating on the xxx is not a thermal rating so it dosnt have to have 1600 watts to get it going. i run an orion h2 and its rated at 2000 watts however i only give it 900 and it sound just fine. id look into a different amp that puts out less watts. you should be able to find one that puts out 1600watts are 1 ohm no prob on ebay

I believe it does 1800 at 2 ohms as well, same amp. What ohms does the XXX run at, or what is suggested. I'm eventually going to get another one down the line. I just wanted to keep it well powered to extract the full potential of it.

whats the vc config of your xxx is it a dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm etc....
I haven't ordered it yet. Thats why I'm looking on opinions for the amp. I'm debating on 2 or 4 ohms. I'm wondering which one will give me better expandability for the other 15 down the road. Although I was thinking of just dedicating an amp a piece when I get the other 15.

an amp a peice would be your best bet if the price is no issue. generally when you run a set of subs in series or parrallel there will be some power loss from one sub to another although its probably not that noticeable. id still reccomend 2 amps. id say find an amp that gives you the power you want and see what ohm rating it can handle and then order your sub based on that.

Well I spoke to Mark at RE today to get the final pricing and its a pretty good deal. 539 shipped to my door for a 15 XXX Dual 2ohm sub. He told me that I should find an amp that is around 1600 watts. I found another SPL amp thats 1800 at 1 ohm. Since it'll cost me an arm and a leg to ship back for repairs if anything goes wrong I want to be safe dunno if 1800 is pushing it though.

.

get an amp like a pg tantrum 1200.1 then you will be covered wether you get dual 4 ohm or 2 ohm. with 2 of them for a total of 2800 watts rms, you should be plenty loud.
If I could find a Tantrum around I'd love to get it. Not many for sale anywhere though. You know of anywhere?

the xxx will wang off 2300 daily. many people run them with 2500d's DAILY. you should have no problems. and yes, i do have my own xxx so i am speaking from experience.
