Alright so this post might be kind of pointless considering I've already made my purchase but oh well. Currently I am running an OA 18 in roughly 7.5 cubic ft box tuned 28 hz, ran at 1 ohm by a brz1200 and it WANGS. It is as loud I will ever really need, although in my opinion it is not the cleanest sounding sub. I have a Fi Q 18 fully upgraded coming in the mail soon that im gonna be putting in the same box, and same amp (While i upgrade elecrical and save for a better amp). My question is given that the Q has better quality parts and much higher RMS, will it be atleast as loud as my OA 18? I know that the quality should be greatly improved and hopefully be more musical, but will it atleast be as loud as my current setup? I don't care that much for it to be LOUDER but atleast to match it. Anyone have thoughts on this or experience with both subs?

the Q is mroe of a sound quality sub that just happens to get loud. i would have to say the OA will be louder, but it really depends on alot of things.

So far im getting mixed opinions!!!! aarggg.

OA and Q are both very bottom heavy subs, so you might not notice a big improvement in how it sounds if that is the issue. Some EQ work down low will help though.

Ran a Q in the wife's ride for several years and hated how over pronounced the lower notes where and how bad it rolled off up higher.
