Will exposure to direct sunlight for about 10 hours kill my amp?

Hey everyone.

I drive a 93 300zx with a boss 1100 watt amp (Say what you want but it's bang for the buck). My car is a liftback with a shade cover on the liftback hatch you can pull down and it will close off the hatch window to sunlight. I realized my hatch shade was not pulled down when I went to the supermarket and came back. So my amp was exposed to direct sunlight in the for about 15 hours (I'm assuming yesterday too). Will this fry or ruin my amp? As I'm noticing that the 10 inch pioneer 1200 watt sub isn't thumping like before. Or is this all just a placebo effect?

Help please!

I never had a problem and it gets really hot here. i doubt it would transistors get way hotter than your car will in the summer(maybe 140)

Placebo. Amps can get way hotter than ambient 120 degrees

Your worried about a 40 dollar claimed "1100" watt amp? Those are junk. Ask anybody here.

If a poster starts off with Boss and bang in the same paragraph I give up before it begins. But when that post also has pioneer sub and 1200 watts it's beyond hopeless.

AR4000

Rated at 4000 watts, but does around 1,000 clean at 1 ohm. Was doing fine a .5 ohms nominal for a month daily. $120 amp :shrug:
