Will amp make a big difference?

Currently I am running boston sl60 comps off my alpine cda-9825. I have a sub and an amp in the rear and no rear speakers. I am thinking of purchasing an amp for the fronts bc they just don't sound as good as they should I guess. I was wondering if I should expect a huge improvement or not. I am thinking of getting rid of the sub bc of cargo restrictions and wondered if you think I will get fuller bass from my comps with an amp. (As of now, without sub running, there isnt much bass at all. The fronts sound thin and weak.)

Also I am no bass head and I really don't like much bass. I just want to hear music the way it was intended.

Also my fronts rattle the door panels a bit. Do u think adding sound deadening just around the speaker could aleviate este problema.

First of all you said you are not a bass head and want to hear music the way it was intended, therefore you have to keep your sub. 30% of most music is bass, and I have a hard time believing your comps will provide you with enough bass. Find the cargo space...if it's only one 10 it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yes, the amp WILL make a difference in both clarity and volume and should make your comps sing. The head unit produces hardly any decent wattage. It's like putting crap tires on a sports car.

Re: rattling...dynamat could help yes and no. It really depends on where the rattle is. Is it like a vibration sound right around the speaker? If so yeah it will help and solve your problem 100% If it's somewhere else...like higher in the door and something else is ratting then probably not. You will have to either shell out $$$ to have it looked at or otherwise live with it.
