Will Alpine warranty cover a blown mid?

I've got a set of SPX-177R 6.5" Type-X Components and I think one of the mids is shot. I swapped the left and right rca's and the same speaker is still causing the problem, there is a lot of static noise coming from the mid. They are fed by a Kicker Sx600.2 with gains set at about 125 watts. do you have any ideas what else could cause this? Will Alpine cover this?

No, not yet. It's kinda strange though, I'm not 100% sure it's blown. The last time I was listening to it everything seemed alright but the las time I was in the car it sounded like a weak radio signal, played music but had that static noise. I've never had experience with a blown speaker, does this sound like what I have going on?

Check the connections or crossover/connections there. If it seemed alright one time, and not the other, could just be a bad connection.
