i have a hifonics bx1000d im working with to power 2 12's. i found a deal on craiglist for 2 12" JLw3v2 (dual 4-ohm) in a dual 12" prowedge box for 250 cash.

now on jl's website, it recommends that a 12w3v2 handles 300rms for optium performance at most and anything above is in "danger/risk zone". so id like to know if i will be ok to push 2 12" w3v2's with a hifonics bx1000d (1000rms @1ohm) by using the gain setting tutorial on this forum?

also, do you think 2 12" JL W3v2's in a sealed box is well worth 250? subs are in great condition (5 months old). im looking forward to get some excellent sound quality with some spl with this setup

1. Gain

2. You could put a 5000 watt amp on those subs and not blow them... I don't know if I would really push um' but set the gain, and your fine man.
