Wife Gave Me Good H/U for Christmas

Hello and Merry Christmas Everyone,

My wife just gave me an Eclipse CD5000 h/u for Christmas. I'd like to install it in my 06 Xterra and replace the stock system. I'm thinking about getting a 4 ch Hifonics amp and replacing the four speakers in each door. I'm basically looking for a nice crisp, clean sounding system without adding a sub. I mostly listen to jazz, blues and rock and roll.

I,ve been reading through the forums trying to gain as much info as I can in order to purchase and install an ideal system for my vehicle. I was hoping you guys could suggest some speakers for me to check out and give me some more ideas or suggestions about any other stuff that I should consider getting or doing.

Again, I know that going with comps and a sub is ideally the way to go but given the type of music I like to listen too, I'd like to try something without a sub. I'm trying to avoid going to a professional installer and doing everything myself with the help and suggestions of you guys on this forum. Thanks.

check out all of your option. there are a lot of people that will tell you to go with some thing but go to your audio shop around you check out what they got that you like and then look on here

i'd run something like the e.d. eu-700s in the rear doors and cdt's mid-level components up front

buy a used amp here similar to the planet audio one i got yesterday (p500) and throw some good bass through those 6.5s
