Why you don't let your friend borrow your sub

Well the basket doesn't seem to be bent. This will be my first recone so if anyone has any tips it will be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif . Oh and heres another picture of the aftermath.

How many screws is between the basket and the motor? 4 or 6?

Make your friend pay for the recone.

He is paying for it. I want to try to do it myself though. I mean shipping would probably be crazy. Its going to be like 112 or something for the recone. If he sends it to them he would have to pay shipping both way, and a re-crating fee. Plus i think it would be a good thing to learn how to do. I looked at the sticky on reconing and im pretty confident i can do it. I guess looks can be deceving though.

Doing the recone yourself isn't that hard but there is a lot of things that can go wrong...

My SE only had 4 screws and the screws wiggled out so the motor seperated from the basket and so I have mine tore apart getting a recone.

I just reconed my 15". Fortunately the whole top assembly goes on and off fairly easy. All I had to do was cut under the edge of the surround and remove some bolts off the terminals to get it apart. I didn't even need to remove the dustcap (coil former was unharmed).

I let a friend borrow a sub once. He blew it withing ten min of putting it in his car. lol. I have let him borrow cds too, and they dont work by time I get them back. lol. So I know how you fell
