is my HU resetting on me after volume 20 when i am playing music? When i say reset, i mean the HU turns off and turns back on resuming to the same volume, but cuts off again. This is frustrating, i checked for any loose wiring, everything is fine. Can it be my battery is not fully charged or something. It's an Alpine 9856, please somebody help me out.....

faceplate could have bad connections or dirty connections to the unit itself ... seen that happen on panasonics

Do you have that Hercules hooked up? If so, whats your electrical system like?

I would say voltage drops, or a loose connection; being it a wire in the back or the faceplate not sitting right.

Were you using the stereo while the engine was off sometime recently? Maybe you just drained your battery, and with your constant drain from that massive amp the battery hasnt been able to recharge fully.

just checked the volts. Amp is seeing 12.3v before music. I just put in a 200amp alternator. The volts at the alternator should be reading 14+, even though the battery might be drained correct?

No, i don't use my sound system while the car is off and never will because i know it will kill my battery.

but i thought if i am getting too much of low volts, than my amp will go into protect instead of my HU keep resetting?
