Why is this happening?

I just got my MD3's strapped properly and the combination of the 2 MD3's on 2 15" HD3's is stupid loud, but whenever I turn my truck off my subs pop. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it? I am thinking it might be my HU which is a brand new Kenwood KDC-X891. Is it normal for this to happen or is something wrong that needs to be fixed? Do I need to even worry about it. The shop told me that most big systems like what I have do that, is this true or is there something wrong?

mine did it too, have you tried turning off the deck before you shut the truck off?

I had the same problem, I put a on/off switch to the amp, Wired in the remote wire, and turned it off before getting out, and on after i turned the car on

Its not particularly normal but it happens.

My old system did it sometimes too. It didn't sound like it could be hurting anything.

I will try to turn the HU off before I turn the truck off and see if that helps but right now it is pouring rain and I don't want to get soaked so I will have to do it later. For now I will chalk it up to something that I do not need to worry about unless someone tells me different.

put a 1.5k ohm resistor inline with the remote turn on

or

relocate where you are getting your remote power from, doesnt HAVE to be the remote wire coming off of the H/U

As long as it is not going to hurt anything I am not too worried, I think if i turn the HU off before the truck it will cancel it out

However I am starting to think that it is a grounding issue.
