why is my download speed so slow?

in the current download right now, its around 15 kb/s. earlier today during another download, it was around 300 kb/s. anything i can do to speed it up?

downloading from different server?

i know when i download from filefront i get 700kb/s

but when i download from senspace i only download at 60 kb/s

i download from one site. could it be more computers adding to my network?

It is because some users and probably connecting and disconnecting while you are downloading, my downloads go from 5k-150k all the time and it basically seems to be about the amount of 'seeds' available, how good of a connection they have and how many people are already pulling off them.
