Why I love the Rockford T1000-1bd

Well, I was debating to get a 1500 watt amp or just stick with mine.

But I think some people would actually consider the T1000-1bd a 2000watt amp. It doesnt push 2000 to one sub, but it can push 1000 watts at both channels. (at 1 ohm)

Im planning on running my woofers at 2 ohms and pushing 750 rms.

If I got the 1500 I could be a little more flexible with my wiring.

Anybody have thoughts on the T1000-1bd.

I love it:cool:

sooo...you have this amp, but you dont know anything about it?????

All I can wire two subs with it, and it makes them pound. And it pushes more than 500 to each one.

And you know this because your ears can distinctly tell you how many watts each sub is receiving?

People dont particularly like Fosgate on this forum, but the BD series have always been solid amps. It likely does 1200-1300watts and in my experience, Fosgate amps have longevity. Now, in its price class, you could get an SAE1200, or an AQ1200 which is why people are going to say its junk

I wouldn't call it junk, but it's definitely over priced.

And just so the OP knows, just cuz an amp has multiple sets of speaker terminals doesn't mean they are 2 separate channels. They're bridged internally - manufacturers do that for the sake of simplifying wiring multiple subs. It's still 1 channel though.

I paid $50 for my Power 1000 bd used from a friend of mine... Where else am I going to get an amplifier that pushes 1,000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms for that price?
