ya, on CSI and stuff (lol i know, but the test is real) they always compare the grooves on the bullets

I believe they can compare via the bullets as well, which would probably be in your door panel. Talk to a detective.

gauntlet: ok cool. yea i heard 3 gun shots, and i got 3 holes in my car but only 1 bullet. my guess as well as the cops was that it might have ricochetted, but the bottom line is that they still have the bullet, or should have it anyways, that he found in my car.

Also, don't drive back looking for the car. Give the cops the best description you can and tell them the apartment complex where you think they live.

i told the cop but he didnt really even seem intrested. i told him its by these apartments, and this and that, but he didnt seem like he really even cared. he also said if you happen to see the same two cars around the neighborhood to let him know

and how do i do that? do i call 911 (prolly not since there might be more important calls tryin to get through) or do i just walk in to the station, or is there some specific step on going about that? right now im guessing i just walk in to the station...

It'd probably be easier to call in advance and get the name of who you should talk and a time to show up. Someone tried to kill you, don't accept a cop brushing it off and not caring.

ok thats sounds like a real good plan actually. ill schedule something and that way ill know exactly what is gonna happen.

after calling my best friends little brother--detective hile lima p.d.--he said that attempted murder is most likely NOT the charge. i know thats f'ed up but he told me to charge someone with a.m. you have to prove intent to kill and since no one was actually hit by a round any good trial lawyer would get it tossed and/or dropped down 2 felonious assault--i don't agree but thats what he said.

EDIT: add handgun spec here in ohio and its an extra 5 years prison.

well ill still call and see whats up most definatly. looks like the guy is gonna get away though. or if he gets anything it aint gonna be much. then again he's gotta be caught in the first place to get anything anyways. but thanks for going outta your way and calling and tryin to find out what the situation is. its greatly appreciated
