My friend bought a cap, 2 10" kicker solo barics, a kenwood 800 watt, for 300. And some **** jvx hu. I told him to buy a 15 fi q an aq1200 and a pioneer premier xdeh920, he said no, he wants to use and ipod, the cap saves his battery, and kcickers are louder. Dumb a$$...

We've (almost) all had people we looked up to in this hobby. Back when I was green, I had a couple locals I thought were the shit. Looking back now, mostly they were average guys with slightly above average knowledge of the hobby. But those people will remain in my thoughts, as part of this hobby, forever. Be glad and proud you've become one of those people, and help your 'friend' advance in this hobby as other people have done for you. One of my car audio role models was an installer from a local BestBuy. By now he's probably working at some lame job, but I will always remember him as one of the people who helped me get into what has become a lifelong passion of mine. I dont know where that guy is today, but if I met him on the street, Id shake his hand, and thank him for being patient with me and helping me learn. Be a role model, you'll be glad you did.

How much do you get for boxes? I usually get about 200 for a bare ported or 175 for a bare sealed (i dont build many sealed)

I didn't read the entire thread (nor do I need to) but I will say this, maybe instead of ridiculing him for asking dumb questions you could instead educate him. Everyone sees this community as some kind of elite group of car audio gods, well every single member on this forum started from scratch with no knowledge just like him.
