Why get an XXX over an Alpine Type X?

funny bcuz my friend had the XXX15 and his other friend had the 13.5W7 and the XXX could be heard WAY further and OVER the W7.

Wow...that's the best evidence for the XXX's superiority I've ever seen. Since we all know a sub is only as good as the distance you can hear it from......

the type X DOES have some superb extension... if your a hardcore SQ buff, thats what you want... because you listen to all that crazy classical music with the 5hz organ notes... lol

I prefer the type X for overall SQ, the XXX will definitely get louder once you get the power goin.

Theres only one X in the Type X... The XXX has 3 Xs, therefore making it louder, nuff said.

Both subs are different and aren't meant for the same thing, so you cannot compare them. Only thing similar is the fact that they are both subwoofers.

Question though, how is the type R supposedly way better than the type x, which is a series above it? Is it because the R is an SPL sub and X is an SQ sub? Kind of like the difference between the SX and XXX? Just curious.

the R still sounds great, but the X just sounds superb. The R handles more power and gets louder, though.

My TC 3 HP 15 slayed my XXX 15, in a snailshell BUILT for the XXX. also in my box 4.5 tuned to 32 hz.

better SQ, and better SPL
