name 1 name that derived from africa that is a commonly used "black name"

and what doesnt make sense about my post I was pretty clear. You say I dont know what Im talking about. Why cause Im not black? I lived my entire life in black neighborhoods, growing up with black people, going out with black girls, yeah Im cuban but I lived longer around blacks than you have my friend since I have about 10 years on ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

there are none, read what i wrote. it is the trend, though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you should know that the first people who pioneered these names (this is not a new thing...) were trying to hold onto the strong grammar of african roots. needless to say, they were completely off and people do it because it sounds "black" (i hate saying that...).
taken from multiple books on african american geneaology and anthropology

nope i never said u didnt know, u said that I didn't know. i never said u didn't know anything, just said that i've read multiple instances as i did an oratory on black geaneology and stereotypes and i used that book as one primary source of information //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yet, you havent cited anything it said...you just named the title...

your argument is not concrete..its nothing more than a theory, a flawed one at that.

maybe the people that wrote the books you read use african derivatives when naming children but in my experience not too many black people consider themselves to have anything to do with africans nowadays. yes back in the "black power days" in the 70s and again in the late 80s blacks went back to african root but it was a "fad" which soon faded for the majority of blacks in the US. but as you proved my point by not being able to give me a single name to prove what youve read. I think my point is more than proven in this instance

first, this has nothing to do with u in the least so i'd appreciate it if you'd stay out. 2nd, i cannot at this moment cite a specific textual example as i no longer own the book. it is an excellent read though on black history

3rd, if he wants to buy it himself and read it for himself then thats fine, but i cannot imagine it matters to him or I that much
