No, im not talking about a condom....

I noticed on RE's site that they use foam surrounds. I thought that most newer subs had some rubber/butylene(sp?) surroud. Faoms will rot out & dry out quicker wont they? Is there sumtin that im not catching here, or what?

I was told by a custom car audio shop that the rubber will eventually stretch and then cause the speaker to begin to distort. Whether its true or not i dont know.
