Why does Linkin Park sound so good?!?

Linkin Park is pretty **** good. Reanimation is basically are basically remixes of songs of their first album. I hope they come out with another album this year.

I thought Chester was good on that Live @ Texas DVD. IMO.

Edit: this may have something to do with my opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I don't care one way or another for their music, but I know there is almost no dynamic range in their music. It is compressed to hell. It's a classic example of the volume wars that everyone is playing with now so their music can sound decent on any boombox (but tires your ears if you have a decent setup).

Heresy is right. Mnay bands like LP compress their "music" to such great extend that it completely loses its dynamic range. That way it will sound "good" on any stereo. I quicly become annoyed when listening to LP because the music in itself is bad and so are the dynamics of the CD.

I'm going with Heresy on this one. Bands sounding good and bands being good are two different things. Every old In Flames album or Metallica album sounds like shit on my system, but I put them on headphones and it's like "Hot ****!" so I could only assume the real test is a live perfomance, and the general audience.

The stuff I listen to in my car, and the stuff I listen to on my headphones are two completely different things, simply because a lot of new stuff made to sound good only sounds good on one of them. Of course you won't find Linkin Park on either, but that's just me.
