Why does Adire's website **** so much?

If you dont like it, then dont order from them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I think it's intentionally simple ...
They just have that as excuse for the suckyness //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I'm not saying it needs to be flash, but it needs some organization, look like a business, not some cracked-out supplier for DIY hermits.

Yeah, after some more careful investigation, I was able to find the contact info and all that, so my mistake.

But yeah, the design is pretty bad to begin with. I mean, if not for all of the good things I've heard about the company from these boards, I would take one look at the site and assume it to be a two-man operation from the bassment of someone's house.

But anyway, what's with this:

TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE VIA E-MAIL ONLY - WE DO NOT SUPPLY TECHNICAL ANSWERS OVER THE PHONE!
Geez, calm down. Why not? Unless I can get an email response within a day or two, the lack of over-the-phone tech help is a major negative. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

dan's pretty good about email response, he got me answers within 24hours.

i'm happy with my extremis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Because you'll tie up the line for too long. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Got a lot of work to be done and few phone lines to be using.

As for the site - their concern is the drivers and making sure they are exactly what they are supposed to be... I suppose you could take time away from that to make a pretty site to make people think you're something you aren't - but I'd prefer they focus on making sure our products meet spec and are solid performers.

Well, I'm just saying a more attractive site would catch the eye of the casual car audio shopper, and not just people like us, and would probably result in better sales for Adire. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

compare Audiobahn and Adire/RE/AA....

...compare the sites...

...compare the performance...

but seriously, don't totally base the companies reliability on the sites. The sites are merely and extra given amount of advertising and to help educate the consumer (however so possible)

personally, i would like to see them organize their site a little better. maybe have all the sections look the same? wait - why is it that the extremsis (sp?) is the only page with pictures, graphs, and other info than T\S and a short blurb?

is it really that hard to take a freakin picture and post it on the site so we can see what the speaker looks like?and why did they split it into those categories? pro? home? mobile? oem?

and why do i have to go back to http://www.adireaudio.com if i want to go into home, after i already went to mobile? the design of the site is just poor. the information is there if you look for it. but in my opinion, it should be layed out totally different, and there should at LEAST be pictures of what they are selling. that is a MUST for me.

i am sorry, i just cant stand companies that don't have flowing web pages

i am not talking about anything flashy, but the pages must be accessible by one or two clicks, the menus should ALWAYS be available on each page for access to each section of the website. each product page should be similar to the next, but different so its not monotonous and boring. simple, yes. but in my oppinion, adires website is confusing (to most) and quite redundant.

why is it that the extremsis (sp?) is the only page with pictures, graphs, and other info than T\S and a short blurb?
Because the Extremis is a finished product and has not been changed (that I know of). So, the just saved the page from the old site. All the other speakers are brand new/redesigned.

is it really that hard to take a freakin picture and post it on the site so we can see what the speaker looks like?
Ever think that maybe since they are redesigning their entire lineup, maybe not all the subs are cosmetically done yet, ready of pictures to be shown to the consumer base?

and why did they split it into those categories? pro? home? mobile? oem?
Because those are the different business segments they service. What's wrong with that? If I were only interested in OEM products/info, I wouldn't want to scroll through tons of Adire's own personal products. Likewise, if I were only interested in home audio why would I want to look through mobile and OEM info? I don't; so I click on only what I want to access.

and why do i have to go back to http://www.adireaudio.com if i want to go into home, after i already went to mobile?
You don't. Look at the bottom of the screen, it has hyperlinks to all of the other pages;

Dealer list · Tech Info · Contact us · Warranty info · Online forum

Mobile Audio · Home Audio · OEM Audio · Pro Audio

and there should at LEAST be pictures of what they are selling. that is a MUST for me.
See above.

but the pages must be accessible by one or two clicks,
All of them are.

the menus should ALWAYS be available on each page for access to each section of the website.
Again; they are. Look at the bottom of the page.
