Why does 1 speaker pound but 2 dont!?!?!?

Ok, I have two Kicker CVR12's and a Hifonics Butus Bxi1606D amp... Speakers are rated at 450 Watts RMS MAX each, Amp is at 1 ohm load with speakers currently and puts out roughly 1600 watts RMS (I doubt it but I'm sure its high).

Here is my problem... I connect one speaker and it will pound the hell out of it (no matter which speaker, they both work fine) but when I attempt to connect two, the bass completely drops! What could possibly be the problem!?

My Setup:

Kenwood KDC-X591 Head Unit

2 Kicker CVR12 speakers Dual 2 ohm VC

Hifonics Brutus Bxi1606D (Brand new out of box) Mono Amp Class D

Running 4 gauge power wire and ground

150 amp fuse and holder

The only thing I thought might be wrong is that the ground is a little long... Maybe about 13"-15", the book suggests 12". Could that be the problem? It is grounded to bare metal.

I also had a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X10D (600 watts RMS) amp and it did the SAME THING!!! I thought that it just couldnt handle the wattage load so I bought a Brutus which I know can handle the load and the same thing happens... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

if they are both DVC 2 ohms you can only wire it to be either .5ohms, 2ohms or 8ohms.
were when you have just one you could wire it to 1ohm.
Bro according to all the wiring diagrams I've looked at, including the one on here, I can get it to 2 ohms or 1 ohm depending on if I wire it parallel or in series.

My bad, I just checked again and you're right. But that still doesnt solve my problem lol. I wired them with a .5 ohm load and a 2 ohm load, both of which should pound the crap out of my speakers, even blow them... And it did nothing but drop the bass...

Thats because when you used one speaker you can wire it down to a 1 ohm load on the amp and when you use the 2 speakers you get final load of 2 ohms on the amp.

Polarity is perfect on both subs... MY cousin is with me and we both are dumbstruck on this! IT really doesnt make any sense. We just tested both speakers individually again and they both pound like crazy by themselves...

Might be a dumb idea but make sure your wiring them exactly right, ive wired in a series and got 2 postives by accident a few times.

Well they are both in individual boxes. actually the box is a little big for the subs. They both have the same exact box though. Me and my cuz are going to double check the wiring one more time but I'm 99% positive I have it right.
