The calls I'm making are based around what I have seen. How many readily available prefab enclosures do you know of that have 6" aeros on them? I've seen tons with 4" aeros and while I don't know how many were made by the company that makes precision ports, I do see many more 4" than 6". The cases where 4" ports are present, they are there because that is what is needed for the application and the 6" would be over kill.
While I am assuming, it's still very visible in the market that there are not a lot of pre-fab enclosures that would require a 6" aero port and if they put one in, it would probably increase the size of the enclosure to arrive at the same tuning. That makes the package larger than desired and not many people like huge enclosures sitting in their house/car/wherever.
You can disagree all you want but you have said it yourself that in materials, it costs more to produce 4" aeros than 6" aeros. Your reasoning is that there are stupid people running the company. My argument is that there isn't as much of a market for 6" aeros compared to 4". Mass production drives prices down while limited production drives prices up. You tell me which argument is more logical?
Like it or not, the people running the company probably know way more about business than we do.
