I became a member on this forum so i could learn some valuable information that i didn't learn 8-10 years ago, which was the last time i was involved in car audio until now.

Five days later you are an expert in the mobile electronics field with eight years experience installing equipment, have heard subs that haven't been released yet, "know" someone at Arc Audio or Morel, start talking shit when someone gives an opinion, and unfortunately you find the Lounge.

So, why are you here?

I'm here because I enjoy learning new things , and helping others when I can . I was in the car audio field before the majority of users here were even born . Yet I learn something new practically everyday ( amazing how that works ain't it ) . I don't know anybody at Arc or Morel . Seeing some of you guys learn and grow has kind of filled a void for an old man . And is a big part of what brings me back . I registered on the forum, to try to find a certain h/u at the time. Then I started to read some threads and I liked what I saw and absorbed some knowledge. I have tinkered with car audio for about 10 years now, and I still consider myself a noob cuz I just know the basics. So now I am here cuz I want to know more than just the basics. At one point in time the experienced on this forum were noobs as well. So, just pardon my ignorance and embelish me with your knowledge.

This thread blew up with noobs not even discussing the subject at hand. Sad...really sad.

I started on carstereo.com...I found that my lack of HTML knowledge and the general lack of real info vs. read and spouted info made my short stay terrible. Around my birthday time, after not having a stereo for a few years, I decided to get back into it. I typed in car audio and this forum came up. I asked a ton of questions, I tried to answer as many as I could. After I found my self not learning as much from the folk here (due to the fact that some of the more knowledgable members left) I started to enjoy the lounge.

I continue to brouse the non-lounge forums and answer the threads that have little to no replys. I have no use to get into a 4 page thread that has died or changed topics and dig in. I perfer to hit up the ones that have no replys.

The little recognition from these few that I actually can help is what keeps me here. I have friends here...but they are also all on the other frequent.

If I am in the lounge, I am keeping entertained while at work. If you catch me in another section, I am either helping or moderating.
