Apparently you think you are one of the smart coloreds that are apparently out there somewhere so just humor me. Explain to me how your ancestors who were enslaved some nearly 150 years ago have any bearing on you today.

I cannot begin to explain it all. If you are really interested you gotta read up on it.

But slavery existed more than 150 years ago. History books will lead you to believe that slaves came over in like 1800 something, Lincoln didn't like it, there was a war, slavery ended. Read "Before the Mayflower" and books like that.

To answer Lugnutz question, it has no real bearing on me at all. Just more shocking that people coming here to escape religious oppression could do others like that.

The way I see it, You can't blame anyone for slavery. What is done is done. The Africans that were traded were already slaves from their king. They were traded for weapons. For the statement that Africa would be a glorious nation if it werent for slavery; Have you heard about the civil wars that have been going on in West Africa for the last 15 years? Slavery happened some 400 years ago. Africa has not become a glorious nation (continent) even though it has been given 400 years to recoup? That should tell you something right there.
