Ported, definitely.

If you listen to mostly rap, as you stated, 32 hz is great. I have mine at 32hz and they absolutely kill the lows. Awesome sq, and the high end is surprisingly decent with these subs tuned as low as they are.

SE 12's ported at 32 is what you should do, IMO.

i had mine in the old RE spec box. single subs in a mirrored setup. O||O style. Tuning was 32hz and it was gooooood.

I got mine sealed 1 cu ft each and they still get low but I'm def gonna go ported soon. 4 cu ft 32 hz you should be set.

I love SE's, they do fine either way. Ported will kill the lows though. At one point I had 750watts on each and they did fine

That alpine is very nice you could get quite a bit more power for less though Look at MTX TA 7801

these MTX are underrated and I see birthsheets from 1300's up to 1500- 1600 watts all the time. Just another suggestion and might save you some coing so you can get a danker box or more sound deadener. Good choice of subwoofers.

as long as that box is around 4 cubes your good. Just make sure to give it a bunch of port
