Yah most people at the competion I went to were using FIs, kicker L7s and DD and memhis and pyles. As far as a better price someone wants to sell me 4 T3 t1000s. But I haven't heard a lot about T3 so I'm not sold on them. Are they good?

this is not good. rf amps (and components if you can get em cheap like meee) are the only things worth a crap but not worth the money only if its an old one but no, dont touch rf subs and dont ever buy new rf.

Spend some time looking at Incriminator Audio, Sound Solutions Audio and Sundown subs. If you buy any of them, you are getting a very well built sub capable of great performance. In particular take a loot at the Incriminator Audio Death Penalty, Sound Solutions Audio Xcon or Sundown Z series subwoofers. All can be had here Sub Woofers - SSA STORE

if this is a troll, which im starting to wonder, than well played.

if its not then listen to what people here have to say or get out. you start a thread asking for our advice but are still stuck on inferior equipment for a higher price.

if you want good subs that are actually worth what you pay for them than go with the fi, ia, ssa, sundown, dd, pap and other well built and tested companies that have been listed.

We had a guy used to work at the shop with 1 kicker and only 3k doing 157 religiously.

I may have to throw your wiring into question. Running 5000+ watts would definitely warrant 0 gauge.

He's also not expecting to be 145+ on 5k? Something is wrong there, I was 145 on 1500 watts, with a single 10' non walled

ok so thanks for all the info and opinions,mixed answers but oh well.i started a new thread because my old one was getting pretty long.anyway to me the new RFT2s are sexy and im getting them at about $470 a piece instead of the $700 there asking. i plan on buying 4 of them and then two 3000 watt orion amps to go with them. not strong enough to push the subs to their potential but im not trying for 145dbs or anything higher,just looking for some good bass for me to listen to my music. 2gauge wire in and then 4 gauge out. i recently went to a car audio show and i agree with some of you,ther were alot more unerground companies then mainstream, and alot of kicker L7s that i despise. but the message was clear,and the guy that was hittin 158.6 wasnt pushin RF or kicker,so maybe i just like namebrands? anyways sorry so long

2 gauge and 4 ga make you sound confused and lost and im no db specialist but from what i have ben seeing 145db doesn't take what you want to get there ..
