Why not swap in the 400, It was offered in 67 GTO's and then you could run a rochester quadrajet 4 barrel carb and be legit

Go talk to a local engine guy who is reputable. Its a lot easier to learn something from a guy who does it for a living the people on ca.com...

Cause I already have the 389 Tripower, it was given to me when I bought the car. Its running with the standard 335 now.
