Question. How do you create different parts of the song? I've got some very nice beats made and I know how to use the piano roll.. but I can seem to figure out how to make like an intro, verse, chorus... you know, different parts of the song. I've looked around a LOT and still can't seem to figure it out. Have even watched the tutorials and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. When you watch the demo clips that come with it, they are only showing like 4 bars, so I know I don't have to drag it out. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

O.P., your looking for the playlist. It's on the right side of the screen somewhere(haven't used it in a long time) and when clicked opens up and has a list of instruments that your using and columns of blocks after that (1 block=how many steps your using) . Then you fill in the blocks to make certain instruments play at certain times. The player has to be set to loop.

Like they said, click on the pl icon, and the playlist opens up. When I write something, I'll have all the instrument sequences labeled, makes it easier to sort through them in the playlist. Then it's just a matter of painting in where you want each one to play. Takes a little trial and error to get the hang of it. If you didn't make all the segments the same length for example, they will get out of time. Don't get frustrated, it's very rewarding once you get the hang of it!

Just hit F5. It pulls up the playlist. PL doesn't allow you sequence the instruments you've used, but rather the patterns you've created with the instruments. I've spent many an hour on FL 3 all the way up to my current version of FL Studio 5... Reason is pretty kick *** from what I've seen, but FL is home-sweet-home.

ive used both and i definitely prefer reason to fl, reason is just easier to use (at least it is for me) and has a lot more you can do.

if your really into that kind of thing, do yourself a favor and get reason, you wont regret it

yeah man... FL is kinda limited... i like to use reason 3.0 and ableton 6.0...
