who would use these

You'd be correct. I got the mechanical limit tick at about 500rms each in a 1.5 cube box (2 subs). The coil never got smelly but the aluminum cone sure got hot.
i hope i dont have that issue what kind of sound should i look out for bro?? i had to pull out my subs yesterday to add some polly to my box everything looked good.

ohhh so where all set with the daytons for a test box for me or should i spend more on a sub. i kinda like the price but im not sure what kind of power where talking. keep in mind its not gona be used in my car but i will test it out etc etc.

i wana build a box i have never tried. nor can i rent a truck to get home some mdf. so i would need some smaller sheets so i can do my build. i dont wana get a 150 sub just to test out my box skilz. i dont have the right tools i would not wana spend like 300 just to build a box at this time thats to much. i was thinking like some basic tools to get the job done and a cheapo sub to see what happens.
If you go to a place like Lowe's or Home Depot, they can cut the wood for you. Then you can fit it all in your trunk, take it home, glue it and jigsaw the holes. Buck would be happy to design a box for them and is price is very reasonable (free). I just did that recently for an Fi SSD

Quick Box for the Fi Sub.

yea me and buck talk all the time thats the idea for me and him to work out something. i cant fit wood in my car i have no trunk and no acces to a truck or another car just mine i have 4 12s in the back. i would have to get some smaller sheets to start off with. tbh i dont wana blow alot of money on this i just wana kinda get the right tools and then go from there. i would love to build a box for a bad a$$ 15 but i wana start with a 8 inch sub. would b easy for me . i think lol
