thats what im talking about bro. just do it and wait for you new subs. the only issue i would have is do u want to screw new subs in to yoru box. i hate to have all the holes in my box

That SS 8" is sexy. Only 500rms though? looks tougher than that..

I'm sure the coil can handle more, but I doubt it'd need much more to reach mechanical limits in a normal box.

there should b some threads where there is list of cheap subs . there b one for 8 inch subs 10s etc. not sayin there the best sub or the best bang for your buck but not everone knows of all the websites that are out there. sh it u can just post up the website. how many new guys come on here and there all ready to spend 500 on some kicker comps etc. mayb a good idea? oh yea thanks

i sent a pm lol the first day i seen his thread, the price is ok but i dont wana g up to 70ish. i know i know so anyone think the dayton is a bad idea to test out my box building skilz???? there dual 8 so thats 4 ohms right and how much power ? my amp does 500 at 1 ohm 400at 2 ohms and like 300ish at 4 or so. thanks my luvs

You'd be correct. I got the mechanical limit tick at about 500rms each in a 1.5 cube box (2 subs). The coil never got smelly but the aluminum cone sure got hot.
