Who Were Your Heros Growing UP?

Are you touching your hero?

Thats really cool that all of you have such good family members for role models, I guess I wasn't as lucky. I just thought this thread would be a good idea because good people in the world that are admired for their character and actions seem to be not mentioned as much as the bad. I wish the news covered more of the good things that people do rather than the bad. We have magazines dedicated to gossip and scandle but none toward progress and heroicism (unless you count science journals).

I would also have to mention my grandparents as heros to me. My mom and uncle (their only 2 children) both died when I was 10. Their courage and fortitude to handle the situation and to help raise my brother and I like we were their children makes them heros to me. I couldn't imagine losing my only two children, especially within 8 months of each other.

this is like PackerFan does to me twisted....because people do things for me im some stuff up kid that doesnt respect anything or cherrish what is given to me. i think i stated before i think it would be an interesting thing to live like some do, where you have to do everything u can posibly do to live day by day and not know if your gunna die tomorrow or if your going to be evicted next month. i'd love to be into that mindstate for a week not knowing what happened next. i live one day at a time right now. but when u live hour by hour minute by minute its a whole lot harder.
Um yea, i dont get everything handed to me on a silver platter. I work for what i have, and kids like you that have systems paid by mommys and aunts just erks me, just shows how much you mooch off other people.

As to the origonal topic, id have to say my parents, they dont get mad at me even if i do somthing wrong, They try to help.

It's nice you guys had heros. My (immediate) family's not close at all. we pretty much just live together. I seriously can't think of anyone who I just really, really admired growing up. I will always love my family no matter what but we just don't have the family connection. Flame me all you want, but my hero is God.

on the other hand it sorta sucks when your parents give your siblings lots of stuff and i get jack shit. my mom bought my brother two $150 pair of shoes in the last six months. why? because its not fair that he only has two pairs of shoes, and i have twenty-two. even though i bought all my shoes with my own money.
well then why would u expect them to buy u shoes .... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/waycrazy.gif.f4a380c3f94043939fd369defd9e6be2.gif

u have 22 pairs of shoes. W0W!!! well i guess women r not the only one's Obsessed with shoes and accessories.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif 22 pairs of shoes....jeez, one for each day of the month almost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wowflash.gif.89a61f4caede63a11dac36e97d61323e.gif

i have 18 pairs of shoes....and a hat to match each.....i bought them all with money i had saved up....and im **** lucky my family does things for me. packerfan is just jealous people do things for me i guess.
Yup im jealous //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsdown.gif.d22f25895e9b40f2300c953691dacfa2.gif I actualy take pride in my car and system because i spent my OWN hard earned cash on it....I have two pairs of shoes, its all i need, one for work one for everything else.

I would have to say that all Marines were my hero's. I wanted to be one all of my life and i did fullfil my dream. If one person i would ahve to say my Uncle Doyle who went to Vietnam and was decorated and was a true american hero to me. Ohh and Batman
