who uses bass knobs

I use a PAC LC-1. It allows me to adjust my volume and track settings with no power through my RCAs, then with the twist of the little dial I have 100% power for burps during competitions. Then, on the ride home I can set my bass levels to where I want to listen to them and enjoy my music while I drive.

I use the PG BassCube, it allows me to tune in on the freq that I need and adjust the output level on older recordings that lack bass, like Metallica's "Kill'em all" and for the other reason that I have kids and when they get in, I can turn it way down. I'm set up for SQ, so I don't use mine as a volume control for bass as I do to balance the sound.

I got one with my AQ 1200D. Sucks, my knob doesn't actually but I just use my deck, it's easy enough on the CDA117, but the clipping indicator is very nice to have.

i use them when they are actually remote gain knobs and not bass boost knobs like a lot of them are. Very convenient.
exactly

if its a bass boost know then throw it away, well just dont use it

I wish mine had a level setting instead
