Who here hates USPS????????

my own personal experience dictates my choices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
fedex insurance claims take 1/2 the time as most other couriers also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That it do laddy , that it do . Just stating the facts meng //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

upsp...had a amp shipped out to me midwest to southern cali, never got to me, they just sent it back to the guy i bought it from. 2 weeks from when he shipped, it gets around near me, and then they send it back "undeliverable" happened twice. and i have other things shipped to me decently quick. Blagh.

4bil/annually spread across all applicable commercial couriers?Seriously?

Right now just across USPS , and UPS . But yeah 4 bill anually , have a little over 4.5 budgeted . But I managed to bring it down 1/2 a bill last year . Wish I got to see that money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i too work for fedex, and supposedly usps has the worst "handling" tactics.

ups has the most "damaged packages" but thats mostly because they are the largest courrier service.

but in my experiences, i have alot of shoes shipped out and to me and they always get here or wherever i ship them to within 3 days. the only thing is on the delivery confirmation, the mailpersons don't always abide by that and just leave it at the door

Delivery confirmation through USPS is worthless . on average the actual mail carriers themselves only scan the dc barcodes 14 % of the time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

That's disheartening //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

There is talks of the USPS bar coding mailboxes in the not so distant future . So that the carriers must scan the actual mailbox itself as the mail is delivered . But judging by the proposed cost of the system I have seen . Their Idea of not so distant and mine differ greatly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, duh!

It's a governmental agency - what else could you expect?

Technically not anymore . The postal service started turning too much profit 6 years ago to be considered a non profit government organization. So technically now they are a private company with some really , really good government backing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i've always been curious, why does it take so long for usps to update the tracking on shipments? when places like fedex and ups update really quick. i know fedex is really set on scanning every package, so that part is obvious to me, and i'm sure ups is the same, so is usps just not a stickler for scanning everything?

USPS dc and tracking are two different things . Actual tracking is only offered on express mail, global express guaranteed, priority international , and express mail international. With those you get step by step tracking . With delivery confirmation you only get confirmation that the post office received it , and hopefully ( read as not very often //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ) when the package is delivered //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
