Just wondering, usually i do masonry and tile work. But i've been trying to find out where im moving and some other stuff so i've put that on hold.

I've been working at a Club/Grille (its a resturant with a club attached too it. its the 'hot spot' of this little city). Its definatly alot more fun than a 9-5 and i only have to work a few hours to make ends meat.

Wondering about what food/dance/whatever you people work. And how you like it.

ive worked a few resruants, it was ok the pay isnt all that great, but it can be fun and usually working nights so i would sleep all day goto work come home stay up all nite...cant do that with a day job

before fall semister i was working at a upscale restaurant... it was nice and a great way to meet local lawyers/politicans/buisness owners

my friend works at a nightclub/stand up comedy place and he hates it... i guess it just depends on the person

I'm a server at Ruby Tuesday between semesters. I make good money practically doing nothing. Granted I get busy and such but it's nothing that really stresses me out compared to my co workers. On a busy night I'll get anywhere from 150 to 250 dollars for a 6 hour shift.

FYI, do NOT work at the local theater...Ive been working at one for 2-3 years now and I HATE it. UNLESS you can become a projectionist. They make good money and the job is fun. And I like their business schedule. You dont have to wake up really early but you dont work too late to go out and do other stuff. Really fun. That's what I was for about 6 months before I went to college. (The Projectionist's are the people who build the movies, thread the projectors, and make sure the reels dont mess up while is playing. Its really laid back unless you end up working in a megaplex.

masonry, that has to be pretty cool. i have a friend pulling 150k a year. he started from scratch and really blew up pretty quick. at least you are not some mommy and daddys boy that lives off the rents success

Wow, lol. Did I said I still work there??? I said I worked there till I went to college. The pay is indeed liveable on, just not comfortably. But for a highschooler, it was an awesome job, perfect hours, fun, I got to work with small machinery, and got paid really nice for a highschooler. And im going to school to become an eletrical or mechanical engineer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i pull in 3-5k a week doing tile/slate/marble work. i pull in 200 a night doing this. when i go back to doing tile work next year im going to be full on. im going to open a warehouse to cut out the middle man and gain business from other people doing tile work. then im going to put the squeeze on other people by selling at cost so i can gain market control. it wont be hard at all in this market. its been dominated by the same people charging stupidly high prices. im going to grab them by the balls and pull them to the ground. its just alot of dedication and i dont want to step into that before i have got my shit sorted out.

I'll never work in the food industry again as long as I can help it...
Nightclubs are fun jobs, but they're not everything they're cracked up to be...unless you own the place.
agreed, and even then.
