hey uhhh....ever heard of football. you know that makes up half of the oklahoma fucking sooners.

but i dont play football im here because i was born here my dad was a state track runner in oklahoma and was only beat by other black guys. i didnt take so much of his speed so i train mixed martial arts which is popular in oklahoma now.

Please leave this thread....... Education has failed you. Before you ruin the English language any more with your run-ons and teachings from "Paw" go read a fuking book. Read about how many Africans died before they even got to America. Then read about how many died due to the change of the climate. You know what? Don't. turd, it was and is a travesty, but seriously that was over a century ago. You can not sit here and tell me that affirmative action has or ever will work, nor can you tell me that entitlements work. The jobs in their areas ****, so they can't make much money. They can't move anywhere else without money. The schools ****, so their kids don't get a good education. The kids pretty much have to get scholarships if they want to go to college, which is the only way outside of the military to really get a good job, especially since their high school diplomas are worth much less than those from white-saturated areas. But since their education sucked, their chances of getting a scholarship and getting a good job are slim to none. So the cycle continues. Meanwhile, the next generation sees that success in his community is gained through drugs and gangs rather than school and hard work, so the environment encourages crime. If we increased the quality of education in inner city schools and made college more affordable (I actually think it should be free for everyone now since it is necessary to get anywhere in this country) the blacks would, over a couple generations, be able to end this cycle and we wouldn't have to worry about the race card, affirmative action, or any of that crap anymore

the education sucked because the teachers there are ghetto too...

but scholarships are plentiful just say something to jessie jackson and he'll get you one just for being black.

you make so many excuses for them its great i get a good chuckle, right because the neighborhood forced them to sell crack, and the neighborhood forced them to rob a liquor store...

Well I can tell you that they bus them into my sons school, so they are geting the same educational oppertunity as my white son. In my area, you can drive 10min and be out of the getto, so they can do the same and get a "good" job, as long as they wear their pants on their waist, not their knees. Once again they are looking backwards, and using excuses. As a whole, what are their idols saying to them? Educate youselves, be positive, realize your responsible for yourself...? Nope, wear you pants under your ***, speak with a sleared toung, call each other *****, and hoe, the run or rap your way to riches. Is this the rest of americas fault or doing? I say nope.

That isn't as common as you may think. And how many good jobs are there in your area available without a college degree. Not many in my neck of the woods. I'm not saying there aren't ways out of it, simply that it is still harder for them than it is for us. They are still disadvantaged. I mean, we had a friggin C-student who only got into college because he was a rich Legacy for a president.

I don't make excuses, I am simply telling the facts. There are connections that you are ignoring. They have certain advantages over us, but we have many more over them. You have to be either ignorant or stupid to not realize this.

I would like to know what the difference is in what is being taught in the inner city public school system compared to say white suburb public schools.

I mean are the core curriculum different? I'm guessing kids in either system get a chance to take the same classes.

I don't have a college degree. I also, don't look for excuses why I can't achieve or why I fail. I accept the facts and fix what I can, then try again. It is difficult to rise above, and it will be and is hard work, and if your lazy and want the easy way you will stay where you don't want to be.

I don't think a large percentage of blacks are on welfare and food stamps and sell drugs. To me it all depends on what area you are in. I also think that the ones who group blacks as depending on the gov't is full of BS. I understand we all have an opinion but lets get the facts straight. Their are gov't depends in every race.
I am African American and the American people pays my bills. Life hasn't always been fair when I went out and applied for jobs but I kept on trying. I have at one time in my life received food stamps and let me tell you this I didn't like it at all. It was 84 dollars a month and I was able to get by with the help of my in laws. I finally was able to get a job and I also started school. Things were okay but at times race did play a role in me not getting a job. Hell one job I knew I was qaulified for and I didn't even get a call for an interviewer. The following week I saw the same ad and I went back down there to apply but the lady who was receiving the applications was a litttle bish.

And as for blacks having the same opportunities as whites it will never be equal.....It will be loop holes in the process.

if you really think that there are whites that don't get jobs based on race you need to check again, my dad is the head of maintenance at the company he works for and the last time they hired he was told "you have to hire a black guy" there were 6 guys with 10 plus years of experience in general maintenance but he had to hire the black guy... who couldn't even read a tape measure...

and to the other guy. what about white people. no one forced u to put together a bunch of shit to make meth because u were too poor to buy anything else. no one forced you to hunt for your food. no one forced you to shoot up schools.

show me an advantage whites have over black, and ill show you 2 in the opposite direction, blacks are so in demand of an apology for what happened 150+ years ago that we've actually over corrected the problem and given them the advantage.

equal opportunity employment, the NAACP, the united negro college fund, nun of them apply to whites
