Which Would Choose And Why

In either senerio, each sub would get 2,000 RMS, in reccommended size box, tuned somewhere between 28-33hz:

2 12" RE MX's - MX's are rated at 1500 RMS

or

2 12" RE '06 XXX's - XXX's are rated at 2,000 RMS.

And why would you choose that option?

IMO I would get the XXX's... but honestly i've never heard MX's sooo I can't fairly evaluate these 2 choices. Either way, ive heard 1 properly set up 15 xxx with 1700 watts running to it and it sounded GREAT. 2 12s with a lot of power should sound very nice.

Basically it comes down to which is better, MX's with more then rated power, or XXX's with rated power.

MX w/ more power. But that is just an opinion. Honestly I have never heard the MX and only heard one XXX. I want to say that the MX is a little more efficient than the XXX so you will likely reach full potential with the MX easier than you will with the XXX. If you had 2500 or so watts then I would say the XXX.

Thats what I am kind of thinking. 2,000 RMS isnt quite enough to reach full potential of the XXX, whearas the MX will be right at full potential.
